Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships and Leadership Programme

A fully-funded Oxford Graduate Scholarship run with the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Trust that combines a graduate scholarship with a year-long leadership development, mentoring and networking programme, established in 2015 to cultivate future leaders from transition and emerging economies across Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The scholarship covers 100% of course fees and provides a living-costs grant of at least GBP 20,780 (the UKRI minimum stipend rate) for the full duration of fee liability. It funds a fixed list of one-year taught master's courses only (it does not support doctorates), spanning law (BCL, Magister Juris), business (MBA, Financial Economics, Law and Finance), public policy and governance (MPP, Global Governance and Diplomacy, Diplomatic Studies), social sciences (Comparative Social Policy, Criminology, Migration Studies, Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, Evidence-Based Social Intervention), computing (Advanced Computer Science, Social Data Science), global health (Global Health Science and Epidemiology, Health Service Improvement), education, environment and energy (Environmental Change and Policy, Water Science Policy and Management, Energy Systems, Nature Society and Environmental Governance), mathematical modelling, and a range of area-studies MSt degrees (Islamic, Jewish, Asian and Middle Eastern, Japanese, Korean, Slavonic, Latin American studies). Eligible Arab-region countries include Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, the Palestinian territories, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen; applicants must be ordinarily resident in an eligible country, hold an offer for an eligible course, and intend to return home after their studies. There is no age limit and no work-experience requirement, though most scholars are early-career professionals. English-language proficiency is required at the level of the chosen Oxford course (typically IELTS 7.0-7.5). Selection is by a dedicated Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarships Statement submitted alongside the graduate application by the relevant December or January course deadline; the 2027-entry round opens in autumn 2026.
